China's powder metallurgy industry has experienced rapid development for nearly 10 years, but it still has the following gaps with foreign counterparts :(1) there are many enterprises, small scale, and great difference in economic benefits with foreign enterprises. With China's accession to the WTO, the above shortcomings and weaknesses will be improved, this is because after joining the WTO, the market gradually internationalization, powder metallurgy market will be further expanded opportunities; At the same time, with the foreign capital and technology, powder metallurgy and related technical level will be improved and developed.

According to the statistical data of 53 enterprises by the association of Chinese manufacturers of powder metallurgy, the main business revenue of China's powder metallurgy parts industry reached 4.841 billion yuan in 2010, with a year-on-year growth of 39.75%. The total profit was 376 million yuan, double that of the previous year. In terms of the output value, the powder metallurgy parts industry realized the total industrial output value of 5.057 billion yuan, of which the new product output value was 628 million yuan, and the new product rate (new product output value/total industrial output value) was 12.37%. The output value of industrial sales is 4.973 billion yuan, of which the export delivery value is 628 million yuan, and the export rate (export delivery value/industrial sales value) is 16.62%.

From the perspective of production and marketing scale, according to the statistical data of 53 enterprises by the China association of machine power metallurgy, the output of China's powder metallurgy parts industry was 163,600 tons in 2010, up 39.40% year on year. Sales were 161,700 tonnes, up 43.15 per cent year on year.

Through the combination of the introduction of foreign advanced technology and independent development and innovation, China's powder metallurgy industry and technology have shown a trend of rapid development, is one of the fastest growing industries in China's machinery general parts industry, the output value of the country's powder metallurgy industry increases by 35% every year.
