The injection mold base is exactly the same as the plastic injection mold base. The material of the mold base can be selected by referring to the plastic injection mold base: Generally, the moving template, fixed mold, and push plate can be made of 45 steel, and the hardness is 180 ~ 250HBS. Other sheets can use 45 steel or Q235 steel. For mold bases with particularly high precision requirements, all sheets can be tempered with 45 steel, and even Cr12 micro-deformed mold steel can be quenched. Guide posts and guide sleeves can be hardened to 50 ~ 55HRC with T8A or 0.5 ~ 0.8mm thick with 20 carburized steel and hardened to 56 ~ 60HRC.

When the injection mold is working, it usually bears an alternating load of 20 ~ 50MPa, accompanied by the alternating temperature of cold and hot. In ultra-precision injection molding, the molding pressure used can even exceed the normal use pressure several times. The service life of an injection mold is generally tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of times, so the mold should have sufficient strength and rigidity.
