Many small precision assembly parts in automobiles can be manufactured by MIM process. Previously, forging, precision casting and other methods were used to make composite parts. The parts are with high cost,low precision and cannot achieve idea benefits. MIM process can improve production efficiency, improve accuracy, save materials, reduce process and costs.

The electronic control gasoline injector on automobile engine consists of more than 20 parts, including iron core, armature, magnetic conducting disc, guide body and other parts, which constitute the magnetic circuit of the injector. These parts are made of soft magnetic alloy materials.

Compared with the traditional gasoline injector, the comprehensive performance of the injector manufactured by MIM technology can be improved.

India-USA MIM Technology Co., Ltd. has developed and manufactured four components of gasoline direct injection pump by using MIM. The component materials are 440C stainless steel, density is greater than 7.65 g/cm3, σbmax is 480MPa, σs is 150 MPa, σ is 45%, Rockwell hardness is 100 HRB. Not only the manufacturing cost is reduced by nearly 35%, the performance of the pump is improved, and the fuel economy is about 10%-20%.
