17-4PH, also we call them X5CrNiCuNb16-4, AISI 630, NF S94-090, UNS S17400 or sus 630. It have special performance compared with other stainless steel like SUS316L, because 17-4Ph material could have hardness after age hardening 40-44HRC.

Tolerances: for hole less than 2mm, polished, could reach h8. hole more than 2mm, cold drawn, polished, could promise ISO h7. Surface finish Ra 0.4(N5).

 

Surface treatment: vibrate grinding or manual polishing. For this MIM surgical safety scalpel handle products, the surface is the most important because they are all exposed and skin-contactable surface. Any rusty and irregularity are not allowed.
